Tulip Season in Virginia

I don’t know about you, but I am over the snow and SO ready for tulip season here in the DMV! There’s a little slice of heaven called Burnside Farms, and they have some of the most beautiful tulips you’ll find in the area. I went for the first time last year, and I cannot wait to go back this spring for Minis!

I already grabbed my season pass, which means all you have to do is request to book with me. Once we agree on a date, you can purchase your entrance ticket directly from Burnside, and then we’ll go create some magic together! Whether it’s family photos, a special portrait, or just a fun day out among the flowers, these sessions are always a dream to photograph.

Burnside is expected to open late March through mid-April, so now is the perfect time to plan. Don’t wait too long—the tulips sell out quickly, and I would love to capture this season with you!

Let’s make some springtime memories that you’ll treasure forever. 🌷💛

Content Day in Alexandria, VA

I recently joined a few amazing photographers in the DMV area for a content day in Alexandria, VA, and it was such a fun experience! We photographed three completely different scenes—a cozy coffee date, a joyful elopement, and a modern maternity session. It was my first content day, and I loved every minute of it.

One of my favorite parts was meeting other talented photographers in the area. It’s such a great reminder of the sense of community and support that exists here. We got to collaborate, share ideas, and experiment with creative shots, all while learning from each other.

Content days like this are not just about building portfolios—they’re about connecting, exploring new ideas, and pushing your creativity. I left feeling inspired, energized, and so excited to bring these fresh ideas into my own sessions.

Can’t wait for the next one! 🌿✨

Calling 2026 Graduates!

Graduation sessions always feel a little different from the rest.

I’m not in this stage of life yet. I’m still in the little kid phase. But getting to photograph graduates has made me slow down and notice things I probably wouldn’t have otherwise.

Everyone shows up a little differently.

Some are excited and already talking about what’s next. Some are quieter about it. You can tell they’re still taking it all in, even if they don’t say much.

That in-between feeling is what stands out the most to me.

It’s not really about the cap and gown. It’s in the way they pause between photos, the way they laugh when something feels awkward, the way they settle into themselves as the session goes on.

That’s the part I try to hold onto.

I don’t want these sessions to feel overly posed or like a big production. I’d rather keep it simple and let it unfold naturally. The goal is just to document who they are right now, as they are.

Even from where I’m standing, it’s clear this is a turning point.

And I think that’s what people come back to later. Not just that they graduated, but who they were at this exact moment.

If you have a graduate this season and want something that feels relaxed and true to them, I’d love to photograph it

Mother’s Day Minis

I really think Mother’s Day shoots are my favorite. Probably because being a mom is my favorite thing in the world.

Last year’s minis will always have a special place in my heart. We embraced the mess, the laughter, and the pure joy of letting our little ones be little. The painting setup brought so much life into each session—tiny hands covered in color, giggles echoing through the air, and moms soaking in every second. It was imperfect in the most perfect way, and honestly, that’s what made it so meaningful.
